Repeat Glacial Flash Flood Kills Nine on Nepal-Tibet Border

A flash flood along the Bhote Koshi River has killed at least nine people and destroyed villages near the Nepal-Tibet border. The same corridor was hit in July 2025, when a glacial lake outburst (a sudden release of water from a melting glacier) killed nine and left 24 missing. Back-to-back disasters show how glacial floods cross borders with little downstream warning.
