Deadly Flash Flood Hits Nepal-Tibet Border Corridor for Second Time in Just Over a Year
A flash flood along the Bhote Koshi River has killed at least nine people and washed away villages near the Nepal-Tibet border. The same corridor was struck in July 2025, when a Tibetan glacial lake outburst killed nine, left 24 missing, and destroyed the Nepal-China Friendship Bridge. The repeat disasters expose how glacial floods cross international borders with little downstream warning.
