Tourism body pushes for cross-party backing on 2050 strategy

Tourism Industry Aotearoa wants all parties to back a long-term tourism strategy to 2050 focused on balanced growth. Chief executive Rebecca Ingram launched the framework on 26 August, seeking agreement across Parliament before the election. Tourism spending hit $46.6 billion in the year to March, $28 billion of it from domestic travellers.
