
Tourism body seeks cross-party commitment to 2050 strategy ahead of election
Tourism Industry Aotearoa has called on all political parties to back a refreshed tourism strategy to 2050 focused on balanced growth. Chief executive Rebecca Ingram launched the framework on 26 August, seeking cross-party consensus before voters go to the polls. Tourism spending reached $46.6 billion in the year to March, with $28 billion from domestic travellers.
