Former Alberta premiers Jason Kenney (UCP) and Rachel Notley (NDP) — rivals in 2019 — will co-chair a Canadian Chamber of Commerce campaign opposing Alberta's October 19 separation referendum. Both call the vote bad for business and poorly timed during the U.S. trade war. Chamber president Candace Laing says Canada gains from more economic co-operation, not less.
