Kenney and Notley Co-Chair Business Campaign Against Alberta Separation Referendum
Former Alberta premiers Jason Kenney (UCP) and Rachel Notley (NDP) will co-chair a Canadian Chamber of Commerce campaign against Alberta's October 19 separation referendum. Kenney defeated Notley's government in 2019; the two agree the referendum is "bad for business and bad timing" during the U.S. trade war. Chamber president Candace Laing said Canada benefits from greater economic co-operation, not less.
