Instagram is rolling out "First Draft" on iPhone. The feature analyzes clips over one minute, trims dead air, selects key moments, and assembles an editable reel. Instagram has not confirmed whether AI is involved. The tool makes editorial choices about which segments to keep — a step beyond templated assembly that previously required a human editor or dedicated non-linear editing software.
