National MPs used up minister's speaking time in committee debate, leaving her unable to answer questions
National MPs used up Social Development Minister Louise Upston's speaking time in Parliament's Estimates debate on 25 August, leaving her unable to answer Opposition questions. Committee chair Greg O'Connor said her colleagues had "misappropriated her time." Greens MP Ricardo Menéndez March gave Upston 15 seconds of his party's time; she answered one question, then fell silent.
