National MPs talked so long during a Parliament debate on 25 August that Social Development Minister Louise Upston ran out of time to answer Opposition questions. Committee chair Greg O'Connor said her colleagues had "misappropriated her time." Greens MP Ricardo Menéndez March gave Upston 15 seconds of his party's time; she answered one question, then fell silent.
