Hawk Fire Triggers Emergency in Reno as 63,000 Evacuate Before Burning Man

The Hawk Fire has burned 60 square kilometres near Reno, destroying 32 homes and injuring seven. At 27% contained, with 63,000 residents evacuated, Nevada's governor deployed the National Guard. It is the region's third major wildfire in two weeks. Burning Man organisers, with the festival starting August 30, asked attendees not to book hotel rooms needed by evacuees.
