Wildfire Near Reno Forces 63,000 People to Flee Their Homes

A wildfire called the Hawk Fire has burned 60 square kilometres near Reno, destroying 32 homes and injuring seven. Only 27% is under control. Sixty-three thousand residents have been told to leave. Nevada's governor sent in the National Guard to help. It is the area's third big wildfire in two weeks. Burning Man festival organisers asked attendees not to take hotel rooms that evacuees need.
