Apple Keeps Hide My Email on @icloud.com, Reversing Subdomain Plan

Apple confirmed August 24, 2026, that Hide My Email relay addresses will stay on @icloud.com, reversing a June plan to move them to @private.icloud.com. Users warned the subdomain would let sites pattern-match and block disposable addresses. Apple gave no reason. Sign in with Apple still migrates to the new domain.
