Apple Reverses Hide My Email Domain Migration, Keeps @icloud.com

Apple confirmed on August 24, 2026, that Hide My Email addresses will remain on @icloud.com, reversing a June plan to move them to @private.icloud.com. Users warned the subdomain would let websites pattern-match and block disposable addresses. Apple gave no reason for the about-face. Sign in with Apple still moves to the new domain.
