UAE Stops All Trade With Iran After U.S. Sanctions

The United Arab Emirates said it is stopping all trade and financial transactions with Iran, following U.S. sanctions that began August 24, 2026. The UAE was the world's largest buyer of Iranian goods, importing about $21 billion worth in 2024, the World Trade Organization said.
