UAE Cuts Off All Trade With Iran After U.S. Sanctions

The United Arab Emirates said it will stop buying and selling goods with Iran after the U.S. imposed penalties on Iran on August 24, 2026. The UAE bought more goods from Iran than any other country — about $21 billion worth in 2024, according to the World Trade Organization.
