Shook Research founder confirms $6 million payment to ousted Forbes editor after private equity stake sale

RJ Shook confirmed he paid fired Forbes chief content officer Randall Lane roughly $6 million after selling a controlling stake in Shook Research to PPC Enterprises. Shook Research has produced Forbes' advisor rankings since 2016. Forbes dismissed Lane in July over the undisclosed payment. Shook apologized, saying he had the best intentions. Neither party has addressed the partnership's future.
