Forbes rankings partner confirms he paid ousted editor $6 million

RJ Shook confirmed he personally paid fired Forbes editor Randall Lane about $6 million after selling a controlling stake in his company, Shook Research, to a private investment firm. Shook's company has produced Forbes' advisor rankings since 2016. Forbes fired Lane in July over the undisclosed payment. Shook apologized. Neither side has addressed the partnership's future.
