Hailstorm Halts Vuelta a España Stage 3 in the Pyrenees

A torrential hailstorm on the Col de Mont-Louis forced the abandonment of Stage 3 of the 2026 Vuelta a España with 15km remaining on 24 August. Race leader Tadej Pogacar signalled the peloton — the main group of riders — to shelter in a nearby hotel. Organisers voided the stage, reverting general classification standings to those after Stage 2.
