Hailstorm forces abandonment of Vuelta a España Stage 3 in the Pyrenees

A torrential hailstorm on the Col de Mont-Louis forced the abandonment of Stage 3 of the 2026 Vuelta a España with 15km remaining on 24 August 2026. Race leader Tadej Pogacar signalled the peloton to pull off the course; riders sheltered in a nearby hotel. Organisers voided the stage, reverting general classification standings to those after Stage 2.
