Supreme Court Lets Trump White House Ballroom Project Proceed

The Supreme Court on Aug. 21 lifted a lower court's injunction blocking President Trump's 90,000-square-foot White House ballroom, allowing construction to continue without congressional approval while the administration appeals. Chief Justice John Roberts signed the order. The National Trust for Historic Preservation, which sued, said the stay could end the case before the legal merits are decided.
