OpenAI's New Mac Plugin Lets ChatGPT Read and Send Your Texts

On August 20, OpenAI released a ChatGPT plugin letting Mac users read, search, and send iMessage, SMS, and RCS conversations through ChatGPT. The opt-in tool requires Full Disk Access, contact data, and automation permissions. It is available to ChatGPT Work and Codex subscribers on Apple silicon Macs.
