NSW Premier Corrects Bushwalker Report Within Minutes
NSW Premier Chris Minns told a parliamentary committee that missing bushwalker Lily Hooper, 18, had been found alive in Nattai National Park. Within ten minutes he returned with "terrible news": her body had been discovered. A garbled radio transmission from SES volunteers in dense terrain caused the error. Police commissioner Mal Lanyon "unashamedly apologised" to the family.
