NSW Leader Gives Wrong News About Missing Bushwalker
NSW Premier Chris Minns told a government committee that missing bushwalker Lily Hooper, 18, had been found alive in Nattai National Park. Within ten minutes he returned with "terrible news": her body had been discovered. A confused radio message from rescue volunteers in thick bushland caused the mistake. Police commissioner Mal Lanyon "unashamedly apologised" to the family.
