Australia summons Israel's envoy over decision against criminal probe in aid-worker deaths
Australia's foreign minister Penny Wong summoned Israel's ambassador after the IDF declined to criminally investigate the April 2024 Gaza strikes that killed Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom and six World Central Kitchen colleagues. Wong called the decision, announced on World Humanitarian Day, "especially insulting" and said Australia is "considering next steps." Two officers were removed; five faced administrative action. No criminal process follows.
