Australia calls in Israel's ambassador after no criminal investigation into aid-worker killings
Australia's foreign minister Penny Wong called in Israel's ambassador after Israel's military decided not to launch a criminal investigation into the April 2024 Gaza strikes that killed Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom and six colleagues. Wong called the timing "especially insulting" and said Australia is weighing next steps. Two officers were removed; five faced internal discipline. No criminal charges will follow.
