Nesbitt quits as Stormont health minister over Causeway surgery dispute

Mike Nesbitt resigned as Northern Ireland's health minister after disagreeing with UUP leader Jon Burrows over emergency general surgery at Causeway Hospital in Coleraine. Burrows told a town hall meeting he did not back keeping the service. Nesbitt posted his resignation letter online. A successor was appointed the next day, the BBC reported.
