
UK Regulator Probes Trainline, Virgin Atlantic and Red Driving School Over Drip Pricing
The UK's CMA launched investigations on 18 August 2026 into Trainline, Virgin Atlantic and Red Driving School for drip pricing — advertising a low headline price, then adding mandatory fees during booking. These are the first major cases under 2025 powers letting the CMA fine firms up to 10% of global turnover without court action. Trainline shares fell as much as 14%.
