PBS recommended to list triptorelin for breast cancer, endometriosis and gender dysphoria
The PBAC has urged the government to list triptorelin on the PBS, covering breast cancer, endometriosis and gender dysphoria. AstraZeneca pulled rival drug Zoladex, leaving 7,500-plus breast cancer patients in the lurch. If adopted, it subsidises gender-affirming care on the PBS for the first time and cuts costs from about $3,000 to roughly $300 a year.
