Teen fatally falls in abandoned New Orleans skyscraper

Jacque St Ann, 17, of Belle Chasse, Louisiana, died August 15, 2026 after falling inside New Orleans' vacant 45-story Plaza Tower. He and friends had entered the fenced-off building to explore. A second teen was hospitalized. The tower has stood empty since before Hurricane Katrina in 2005 despite city fines and redevelopment resolutions.
