Teen dies exploring abandoned New Orleans high-rise

Jacque St Ann, 17, from Belle Chasse, Louisiana, died on August 15, 2026 after falling inside New Orleans' empty 45-story Plaza Tower. He and friends slipped past fences to explore the building. A second teen was hospitalized. No one has used the tower since before Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, despite years of city fines and plans to fix it up.
