Auckland harbour crossing: $106m spent on reports, no decision until 2027

More than $106 million has gone into reports on a second Auckland harbour crossing, with no decision yet on what to build. Transport Minister Chris Bishop said Cabinet could decide in 2027. NZTA's board chose a tunnel as its preferred option in May, but Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown wants a cheaper bridge across Meola Reef re-examined.
