ACT proposes portable vetting card for child-sector workers
ACT wants a portable "Working with Children Card" to replace three-yearly police safety checks for child-sector workers. The card would follow workers between jobs, with ongoing monitoring against Police and regulatory data. Offences could trigger suspension or revocation. ACT says setup may cost up to $20 million but would cut duplicated vetting. It is a campaign proposal, not government policy.
