ACT suggests a carry-with-you card instead of repeated police checks for people working with kids

ACT wants a card that child-sector workers carry from job to job, replacing repeated police checks. Police would keep watching for new offences and could suspend the card. ACT says it may cost up to $20 million to set up but would stop the same checks being done over and over. It is a campaign idea, not government policy.
