Supreme Court Rejects Trump's Final Appeal in Carroll Sexual Abuse Verdict
The Supreme Court denied Trump's rehearing petition on August 17, 2026 — its second rejection of his challenge to the 2023 verdict holding him liable for sexually abusing and defaming E. Jean Carroll. A rehearing petition asks the same court to reconsider its ruling. Carroll's attorney Roberta Kaplan called the verdict final. A separate $83.3 million defamation judgment remains on appeal.
