Google Lets Users Disable Visible AI Watermarks, Keeps Invisible Provenance

Google added a toggle in Gemini and Flow that removes the visible sparkle watermark from AI-generated images, video, and audio. Invisible SynthID watermarks and C2PA provenance metadata persist, per Google Labs VP Josh Woodward. Verification remains available through Gemini and Search. The feature skips markets where visible marking is legally required.
