Intel's first handheld-specific chip tops AMD rival in battery and performance

Intel's Arc G3 Extreme, its first chip built specifically for handheld gaming rather than adapted from laptop parts, powers MSI's Claw 8 EX AI Plus. The Verge's August 14 review reports it outperforms AMD's Z2 Extreme, runs games sharper than the Steam Deck, and delivers the longest battery life of any handheld tested. The Claw launches at $1,799 with limited August US supply.
