Productivity Commission slams WA GST deal as $60 billion blunder

The Productivity Commission's interim report says the Morrison-era GST deal with WA met almost none of its goals and made the system less fair. Cost by 2024-25: nearly $23 billion against a $5 billion forecast, heading for $60 billion by 2029-30. Only WA benefited. The Commission wants it reversed.
