Apple Concedes Near-Zero Costs for External App Store Purchases, Proposes 15% Commission

Apple's August 13, 2026 court filing admits that letting developers link to outside payment options would cost the company "essentially zero." Apple still proposes a 15% commission (5% for small developers), down from the 27% a federal judge called a "blatant" violation of a 2021 injunction. Epic has 60 days to respond.
