Victorian Liberals and Nationals pledged weekly red bin collection and lower household waste charges. Coalition spokesperson Jess Wilson called weekly collection "an essential service that should not depend on postcode." Neither she nor the announcement explained how councils would fund the extra truck runs, fuel and labour the guarantee requires.
