Victorian Coalition promises weekly bin collection and lower charges — but won't say how it's paid for

The Victorian Liberals and Nationals promised to collect household rubbish bins every week and cut waste charges. Their spokesperson Jess Wilson called weekly collection "an essential service" that shouldn't depend on where you live. But neither she nor the announcement explained how councils would pay for the extra trucks, fuel and staff it would take.
