2K has unveiled Small Axe Studios, a Vancouver-based AAA team led by former EA FIFA franchise head Aaron McHardy. A mockup soccer badge in 2K's LinkedIn post points to a planned soccer title. If confirmed, it would be the first well-resourced challenger to EA Sports FC, which has controlled the soccer simulation market uncontested since the EA-FIFA licensing split.
