2K Starts a New Game Studio to Take on EA's Soccer Games

2K has launched Small Axe Studios, a Vancouver game studio run by Aaron McHardy, who previously led EA's FIFA franchise. A soccer badge in a 2K LinkedIn post suggests a new soccer game is coming. If so, it would be the first serious rival to EA Sports FC, which has faced no real competition in soccer video games since EA and FIFA parted ways.
