Birmingham Four Lawyers Cite Undercover Policing Inquiry in Conviction Appeal

Lawyers for the Birmingham Four — convicted of a 2010s UK terror plot — say undercover policing inquiry testimony shows "exact coincidences and parallels" with their case. In November 2025, managers testified an officer may have fabricated a gun plot to frame an activist. Solicitor Gareth Peirce submitted this to the Criminal Cases Review Commission, which reviews suspected wrongful convictions. It has not responded since the 2024 application.
