Birmingham Four Lawyers Cite Undercover Policing Inquiry in Bid to Overturn Terror Convictions

Lawyers for the Birmingham Four — convicted of a 2010s UK terror plot — say undercover policing inquiry testimony has "exact coincidences and parallels" with their case. In November 2025, managers testified they believed an officer fabricated a gun plot to frame an activist. Solicitor Gareth Peirce submitted this evidence to the Criminal Cases Review Commission, which has not responded since the 2024 application.
