Reform UK suspends councillor over old posts about Commons Speaker

Reform UK suspended Kirklees councillor Dave Rowan after 2019 posts on X surfaced in which he appeared to write "Hang the Dwarf" about then-Commons Speaker John Bercow, alongside homophobic and Islamophobic remarks. A Reform spokesperson confirmed the suspension. The posts predate Rowan's election to the West Yorkshire council.
