Reform UK suspends councillor over offensive social media posts

Reform UK has suspended councillor Dave Rowan while it investigates old social media posts. In 2019 he appeared to write "Hang the Dwarf" about John Bercow, who was then the Speaker of the House of Commons — the MP who chairs debates. The posts also contained homophobic and anti-Muslim remarks. Reform confirmed the move. Rowan was elected to a West Yorkshire council later.
