Russian strikes cripple Ukraine's grain exports, cutting forecast up to 12%

Russian strikes on Ukraine's Odesa port hub destroyed a third of the country's grain export capacity, prompting Kyiv to cut its 2026/27 export forecast by up to 12%. The port blockade could cost $3 billion. Since late June 2026, strikes have damaged 28 vessels and killed 21 seafarers, leading shipping companies to suspend services.
