Israeli Soldiers Kill Palestinian Infant in West Bank Shooting

Sam Fahd Abu Haikal, seven months old, was killed June 5 when Israeli soldiers fired on his family's vehicle in Tel Rumeida, south of Hebron. His parents were wounded. Soldiers said they believed the car was accelerating toward them; an investigation is underway. The death marks part of a larger toll: over 1,000 West Bank Palestinians killed since October 2023, including at least 240 children.
