YC-backed Gamgee sells AI-designed dog cancer vaccines on one uncontrolled case

Paul Conyngham, a non-biologist, used ChatGPT and AlphaFold to design an mRNA cancer vaccine for his dog. The tumors shrank, but the vaccine was given alongside another therapy, so causation can't be isolated. Gamgee, now in Y Combinator's Summer 2026 batch, is recruiting trials in Australia, accepting cases globally, and states ambitions for human treatments.
