Ebola Reaches Congo's Major Cities, Raising Spread Risk

Ebola has been confirmed in Kinshasa, Congo's capital of 12 million people, roughly 1,000 kilometers from the eastern outbreak zone. A priest in Goma, a major border city, also died of the virus. With the outbreak moving from isolated rural areas into densely connected cities, cross-border transmission into neighboring countries has become a serious concern.
